Centers’ Youth Development (YD) department takes a holistic approach to youth development. Our programs seek not only to prevent at-risk youth from engaging in risky, health-compromising behaviors but to build their abilities and competencies. We do this by increasing their exposure to supportive and empowering environments that will help youth achieve long-term success. We provide programs that will lead to academic success, develop their strengths, and build positive attitudes. Our goal is to prepare youth to become well-rounded, socially responsible community leaders.
Our Programs

Our After-School program provides a safe and fun environment for all youth. Our school-based, after-school programs provide academic enrichment, tutoring, career exploration, and health and wellness activities. We also partner with qualified professional volunteers to support elementary and high school students in 1-on-1 and group mentoring.

We partner with the city of Chicago’s “One Summer Chicago” program to provide employment and internship opportunities to over 500 youth ages 14 and 15 every summer.
